About Us

Our vision is to establish a transformative institution that serves as a beacon of hope and nurture in West Africa, combining the roles of a church, orphanage, and Christian high school.

Our mission is to:

  • Establish a Kingdom-focused church that provides a reliable alternative to traditional religious institutions, grounded in biblical principles and responsive to the unique needs of our community.

  • Create a loving and supportive family home for orphaned and vulnerable children, offering them a haven where they can thrive emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

  • Develop a cutting-edge Christian high school that equips students with academic prowess and strong moral character, preparing them to be competent and compassionate leaders in the 21st century.

  • Serve as a catalyst for positive change in West Africa by fostering a multigenerational vision that disciples nations and develops God's earth for His glory and the good of humanity.

Our Story

Hidden Eye College and the City of Refuge Champions Home Ministries began as a mustard seed dream—a vision planted in faith and watered by obedience.

In 1990, during exile in Sierra Leone, a young believer named Rev. Jackson W. Quenisear committed to saving just 10% of every small earning—sometimes as little as five U.S. cents. That “Vision Thrust Fund” became the foundation for what would grow into a vibrant, multi-arm ministry. God took what seemed insignificant and used it to shape a legacy of hope, education, and faith for Liberia.

Years later, Rev. Jackson and his wife, Harriet Quenisear returned home to Liberia, determined to serve their people. Through prayer, persistence, and partnerships, they secured 103 acres of donated land near Bellemu, Bong County, where the vision took root—literally. The first children’s home was built; the first students were taught under a thatched roof; and the first prayers for a community of faith were answered.

From that humble beginning, Hidden Eye College (HEC) has grown from a small “kitchen school” of seven children to a fully established elementary, junior, and senior high school. In 2021, the first eight graduates completed Christian universities with honors—a testimony to God’s enduring grace and faithfulness.

Today, the ministry includes five major arms:

Each arm works together to fulfill the Great Commission—to know Christ and make Him known. The ministry’s heartbeat remains steadfast: faith in action, love in service, and sustainability through God’s provision.

What began with a handful of coins has become a growing testimony of transformation—proof that the smallest seed, when planted in faith, can indeed move mountains.
